Roberto D. Luna, PsyD., MBA

Welcome!

I am glad you are seeking help and looking for a therapist who might be a good fit. I am Dr. Roberto D. Luna, a bilingual (English & Spanish) licensed Clinical Psychologist in San Diego. My work focuses on teaching you how to resolve conflicts effectively, establish healthy boundaries with yourself and others, eliminate self-destructive patterns, develop emotional resilience, and enhance your relationships through improved communication and empathy. I guide you in understanding and expressing your emotions, empowering you to confidently share your thoughts and feelings. Through our collaboration, you will engage in meaningful behavior change, uncover new insights, increase your self-worth, and foster emotional resilience.

As a member of the Mexican American community, immigrant and a first-generation graduate, I specialize in working with BIPOC individuals, multi-cultural/racial individuals, first-generation college students, and first—and second-generation immigrants. My work has focused on helping individuals navigate ethnic and cultural issues, feelings of disconnection, cultural balancing acts, and unique professional challenges. Additionally, I have over 13 years of experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community.

With over 13 years of experience providing psychotherapy across diverse settings—such as private practice, community mental health clinics, college mental health, psychiatric hospitals, and intensive outpatient programs—I am committed to helping you achieve your best self. If you are ready to make a change, take the first step by seeking the relief you deserve. I invite you to contact me for a consultation. If we decide to work together, we will begin the work toward your personal growth and transformative change.
